Laurent Marthaler founded his first gallery in 2013 in Montreux, Switzerland.

Specialized in the primary market, showing and supporting swiss and international artists, both young and established. The gallery focuses on artists that present strength in imagery construction, and who concentrate on esthetical, historical and philosophical involvements.

In 2023, Laurent Marthaler is transforming a former car garage into an artistic laboratory.

Halfway between a creative space and a contemporary art gallery, the place will host a program of artist residencies, as well as exhibitions.

The gallery owner will offer selected artists residencies of several weeks to allow them to invest the space and make it their own. Once the residency is completed, a vernissage will be held to exhibit the works produced.

For each exhibition, the gallery will publish a catalog produced by Studio Frédéric Held, which will contain texts by Swiss art historian Yves Guignard and photographs by Julien Gremaud.
